Siebenstern Sauerkraut is preserved and a decidedly low-calorie food. At the same time, it is rich in vitamins, minerals and fiber. Just 200 g of sauerkraut cover more than half the daily requirement of vitamin C. The content of dietary fiber and lactic acid is effective for regular digestion. Even James Cook knew that eating sauerkraut could prevent you from getting scurvy (vitamin C deficiency) and took barrels of sauerkraut with him on his voyages.
It contains vitamins (especially B and C) and is rich in sodium, potassium, calcium, phosphorus and iron. It contains fiber and the lactic acid bacteria are said to stimulate the immune system and even lower cholesterol. This vegetable is therefore not only ideal for weight loss, but also a real powerhouse full of vital substances.
